About

We're building the conversation layer for the next decade of business.

Mersal started in 2023 with a simple frustration: every customer-comms tool was either built for English-speaking SaaS or built for call-centers. Nothing was built for how teams in our region actually talk to customers.

The story

In 2023, our founders were running customer operations at a regional e-commerce company. At the time, they relied on four separate tools: WhatsApp, email, live chat, and a help center. The problem was that none of them handled Arabic well. Templates broke in RTL, and reports split Arabic and English conversations into separate threads. On top of that, pricing was per channel, so every new touchpoint meant extra cost.

They built the first version of Mersal as an internal tool, then opened it gradually to early design partners. In 2026, we launched Mersal officially and fully as a production platform for real operations teams.

That launch was driven by one goal: help companies work faster and with less friction, the same way we simplified operations for ourselves. We're still independent, and we still believe the best customer-comms platform is the one that fits how teams actually work — bilingual, multi-channel, and secure by design.

What we believe

The convictions that guide us.

  • 01

    Bilingual is our baseline.

Arabic and English are built into every screen, report, and automation from day one. Nothing is bolted on later.

  • 02

    Your customer data stays yours.

Pick your region, export whenever you want, and keep data encrypted at rest and in transit. We run the platform, not your policy.

  • 03

    AI earns trust through restraint.

Captain answers confidently when it knows, and escalates immediately when it doesn't. Reliability beats guesswork.

  • 04

    Pricing should stay predictable.

You pay per agent, not per channel. Teams can expand touchpoints without reopening the commercial model.

  • 05

    Operational controls are product features.

Roles, audit logs, SLAs, and routing are core workflows for serious teams, so we design them with the same care as the inbox.

  • 06

    Ship steadily, not noisily.

We favor proven infrastructure and deliberate releases so operations teams can scale with confidence and fewer surprises.
